Have had an idea for a while, wondering if there is anything to it.

I would think it'd be tough to support yourself on this service alone. I see it as a "bolt-on" service. Something you offer, among other services.

Not sure if this would be your thing, but there is a surprising demand out there for art installation services. Corporate, residential and institutional clients often need somebody to hang their artwork.

I did a fair bit of this work with just a well optimized website and word-of-mouth. Going rate in my city is ~ $60-90 per hour.

You then use the time your speaking to clients to mention the other services you offer. People get to know and trust you, and just by conversation, might express an interest in these additional services.

I have a custom framing business. At one time I did offer scanning, restoration, printing of old photos. I'd recommend reproducing a new print, framing this and safely storing the original. I spent three days scanning the entire archive of a well known musician. ~ 50 years of material. Some images used in a recently published biography. But this, was all in addition to my main framing business.

So I'd think about what other related services you can offer. Create a well-rounded set and go from there. Throw the net wide to see what you catch.
