Had a potential client gawk at me when I said it would take 2-3 months minimum for his project

I work for a company that customizes WordPress sites for clients as it's main function - I know exactly what I'm talking about. If I had even one other developer to reduce the load or at the very least handle the many requests he was making on design and function, I could accomplish what you're talking about. I'm not a freelancer anymore and I have my own dev strategy that has worked in the past.

Obviously I would use a CMS, because I don't want to be making updates and providing support for years on a product that isn't scalable. Woocommerce is the obvious option, but it's not a one size fits all option. It requires additional work that when paired with the other aspects of the project makes it impossible to do in the time frame - even if I didn't touch a line of code.

What you're describing isn't taking into consideration the budget I never talked about, or the basic expansion beyond WordPress/woo. The client doesn't want a cookie cutter site, there's variable products and affiliate products that each require attention - I can't just import a csv and tell him to fill in the copy. There's design and revision and teaching a client how to use everything.
