Had unnecessary surgery due to pathologist’s “faulty reasoning” when interpreting biopsy results. Has anyone had this happen and what did you do?

It sounds like you want validation that you should sue - the only way to get a good answer to that is to consult a competent attorney. Even AskLegalAdvice does not answer questions on medical malpractice, and it's because the situations are too complex and no one outside the actual medical discipline has the expertise to adjudicate whether your care was appropriate or not. All of the medical questions always sound outrageous on face value and every lay person is like "you should sue!," and the reality is often quite different. There is terrific uncertainty in medical diagnostics, and outcomes can be unfortunate without anyone having done anything wrong.
