It's wrong to say the nation was created in violation of UN resolution. The UN proposed a 2 state solution with an Israeli and Palestinian state. Borders were drawn and all disputes should have been handled in the UN. Of course all that got derailed when Arab nations attacked the new Israeli nation. Arab nations tried again several times and were defeated and lost land. Israel did return some of the captured land in return for recognition. So up until that point it was Arab nations that were the cause of the problems. After that, Israel has complicated issues by building illegal settlements and is now in violation but Palestinians aren't being helping by refusing to recognize Israeli sovereignty. So really, both need a good arse kicking.
