Half of nursing at my hospital is refusing coronavirus vaccination: anyone else seeing this? If you are, have you found ways to improve the situation?

The sad reality is that a lot of nurses don't really have much if any scientific literacy. It's a huge problem with the profession. I wouldn't be surprised if the vaccine acceptance rate among nurses is similar to that of the general public.

Talking with my coworkers, it's incredible how many of them are obviously getting all of their (mis)information from social media. And they believe it. This is a big problem with our society in general, as trustworthy news sources become paywalled and people are manipulated, without realizing it, by online misinformation. I don't know what the answer is besides setting a good example for others and gently challenging false beliefs without arguing.
