Half year checkpoint: What GOOD things have happened in 2017 so far?

I'm not sure if it's good or not for me yet. I'm only 3 months in but I've gotten back on anti depressants and started anti anxiety drugs. My anxiety has dropped from a constant 20 to about a rather even 6...I still have moments. With my depression I'm starting to actually have a good day (like truly blissful - who knew life could be like this - good) once in a while.

Also it took a full year but back on April 21st my OLD health insurance finally paid for a doctors visit they should have, which is what finally allowed me to go back to the doctors (while on new insurance) and get the help I needed! What a long and stressful fight.

We're looking at buying a home, which is amazing considering how far we've come in the last 4 years. Our friends have let us live with them for free in return for small help around the house, we pay a bill or two, and we have constant friends to hang with. Now we're at a point where they want to try it on their own and we've been able to save up enough money to actually consider being on our own!

Oh, and I completely paid off my student loans.

I still have days where I really feel I'd be better off dead...or at least gone from reality, but I know the pain it brings family and friends so I keep going in hopes that maybe one day I'll spend more days feeling positive about myself versus staring in the mirror and telling myself how pathetic and worthless I am.

So all in all I'd say for half year I'm sitting pretty ok. I have A LOT to be thankful for, I just do my best to keep that in mind on the days where I don't feel like carrying on.
