Halo 2 Anniversary campaign's performance have been broken on the Xbox One X since Reach's release. Wonder if this will ever be fixed. (More info and credit on comments)

For some reason Reach's release broke Halo CE and 2 Anniversary performance when playing on the new graphics, but funnily enough only on the Xbox One X version. The One S dips a little more than it used to but nowhere near as bad. 2 specifically is downright unplayable on the new engine, going as low as 30fps in places. Merely shooting an weapon like the Plasma Rifle that's heavy on alpha effects will tank the performance. If you want a good experience right now you're stuck with the classic graphics. I personally prefer the classic look but there's really no excuse for it to run this bad when it was fine before the Reach dlc.

It's been two years now and though they've discussed being aware of these issues we never got an ETA for a fix as far as i know. Ofc they should focus on fixing Infinite's problems, but the very least they could do is offer an setting to lower the internal resolution of the One X version since we're stuck at 4K and the games struggling to keep up.
