Halo 5 does NOT have campaign splitscreen because 343 wants to keep it at 60 fps (x-post from /r/halo)

Companies aren't an evil conspiracy, they provide products for a price

Never said they are evil, but they will get away with overcharging for what they can. Microsoft gets a 30% cut of games they don't make. That's not including the thousands of dollars they get from devkits and $30000 they charge developers to push an update for your game. Those last two not being a problem on the PC, cause guess what. It is not a monopoly, it is an open platform not controlled by a single company. So when people develop games for PC they don't have to answer to anyone. It is why almost all indie games are on PC. Because the consoles are a business first and not customer first to push out good games. I enjoy my internet, that doesn't mean the ISPs in the US aren't milking me for money. Which they are, and like consoles, they have monopolies.

You go have a conversation with a dude bro about kirby and the rainbow curse.

Sure.

Also how do you think video games get made?

I know how they are made, i've made a few myself and modded some others.

Where does the money come from?

It's not like Microsoft and Sony are starving. Why do you think PC games are so much cheaper than console games?

Why would a company provide millions of dollars in funding?

That's one of the problems, developers are developing games to satisfy shareholders and people who fund their development. That's the problem with creating good looking games and why indie games are shining right now. Cause they actually need to be fun to play, they don't rely on looking good cause its too expensive.

Pro tip exclusives wouldn't exist at all if companies didn't put up the immense funding required for a AAA game. So when you cry to sony that you can't play BB on pc do you think they give a shit? No, they think I spent a fuck ton of money to get this game made, you can buy a playstation.

That's not true. Obviously you didn't read my last post, so i'll say it again. They don't fund developers. They find developers already doing their thing. Creating great games. Someone comes along like Microsoft and sees Bungie creating Halo for Mac. They say, hey this looks like it could sell and they've made some pretty amazing games for Mac. They buy out Bungie and get them to create Halo for their Xbox instead. You don't need big companies funding exclusives for good games to be made. That's exactly what sony says, and they know that if you buy a PS4 any other game you buy on the PS4 they get a 30% cut off. That's exactly what tying is (don't feel like linking the link again, read my last comment).

There's about an equal amount of people on Xbox and Ps4 right now. So they are losing that audience just so they can have those percentage of people that will buy a PS4 to play their exclusives. That's exactly why they are doing it. They can easily make back the money by selling the game on Xbox and PC. They just rather have it be an exclusive so they can get even more money.

Anyways i'm not crying about BloodBourne, don't really care for that game. Sony can keep that garbage.
