Or Hamas was found as a violent reactionary group and has slowly grown into a political organization and decided to reform its ideas because they understood the wrong in it and have started to call out and slowly fight antisemitism within themselves and in Gaza.
It is not a negative thing for hamas to call out Nazi imagery and antisemitic and genocidal calls. In fact Israel should PUSH them to condemn and follow up with real action antisemitism whether from officials or from education, TV etc.
Although I am an atheist, it is common for radical islamist and non-muslims to misinterpret the hadith, which talks about the end of time when the anti-christ and christ come. Plus, Islam has rules of war (although quite outdated) which included not attacking children and women and elderly, despite the old testament including verses where moses commits genocide and explicitly mention killing children and women.
