[Hamilton] Khaki Field Mechanical, My first mechanical watch. Spot-on vintage design honoring the predecessor used by many US troops in WWII.

Finally, I bought my first mechanical watch. The Hamilton Khaki Mechanical. A real beauty for an affordable price (350 euro). I actually wanted to buy an Omega Speedmaster Professional. But I hesitated for a long time to buy a 4000 euro watch. I'm not used buying luxury stuff in this range for myself :). So I continued my search for a mechanical watch with history. Next to space exploration, I always have been interested in WWII. This watch is honoring the predecessor used by US troops in WWII. In 1942, Hamilton even halted all consumer production to ensure the delivery to the troops. The watch (38mm) is simple but very effective. Lug to lug size is 47mm. Wears quite large. I really enjoy looking to this watch. I can recommend everybody this watch, especially if you love the history/story behind this model. All for a decent price! Altough the Moonwatch will hopefully also be added in the future...
