That’s definitely not true unless Hamilton is paying literally zero in taxes. My understanding of tax havens is that he pays less tax then he otherwise would, not that he doesn’t pay any tax. At least that’s what usually happens here in the States.

Even if Hamilton is paying 10% of the taxes he would pay if he wasn’t using a haven it’s still far more than a McDonald’s worker contributes, even when adjusted for scale. That’s not to say he shouldn’t be held accountable and that tax havens are OK, but your comparison is wrong on a factual level.

If you want to be mad about tax havens that’s fine, but you can’t solely blame the individual people that use them. At some level accountability needs to be shifted to the government who allows such loopholes to exist, and the industries in general who lobby the government to keep it that way.

A better argument would be that Hamilton is happy to voice his concern about racism but also engages in a practice that actively harms millions of vulnerable people, just like systemic racism does.
