It wasn't speculation. I posted the article with JP's quote and video. I do think it's concerning that fanbase for the most part gives him a pass. I felt the need as one of DT's few minority fans to talk about what JP's statement plus use of Ayn Rand means to me. Apathy is what got us President Trump, and it's sad to see that the DT community is largely apathetic towards the shitshow that is the Trump administration. It is also troubling that many of the fans that have posted seem to have no sympathy of how a woman or minority feels when the face of the band, JP, supports an obvious racist and misogynist like Trump. The community has the right to not care. I learned through this experience DT fans are really not the sort of people I want to associate myself with anymore.
