So this happened Saturday... (x-post /r/philippines)

Sorry, but that's demonstrably bullshit. This cyclist is dead.

Look at the source video:

  • 09:49:57 - Cyclist and SUV collide at high speed. Cyclist goes directly into the SUV's windshield, losing his helmet as he ragdolls into the air.
  • 09:49:58 - The victim's spinning body hits the pavement head-first next to the SUV's rear wheel, after falling from a height of 6-7 feet.
  • 09:49:59 - The SUV comes to a stop.
  • 09:50:00 - The victim's body comes to rest in a prone position, head away from the camera. The right arm immediately exhibits an abnormal posturing response consistent with severe brain injury. The victim's legs and abdomen never move at all.
  • 09:50:03 - The other cyclist passes the victim's prone body.
  • 09:50:07 - The victim's right arm moves slightly.
  • 09:50:10 - The victim's right arm drops to the pavement.
  • 09:50:14 - The other cyclist enters the camera frame on foot.
  • 09:50:15 - The victim's right arm raises at the elbow.
  • 09:50:19 - The victim's right arm falls heavily to the pavement. The only movement after this is the slowly subsiding abnormal posturing of the left arm.
  • 09:50:25 - The other cyclist bends over the victim's head.
  • 09:50:26 - The other cyclist immediately stands back up and does not approach the body again for the duration of the video.
  • 09:50:31 - The SUV driver leaves his vehicle and walks around the front of the SUV.
  • 09:50:45 - The SUV driver reaches the body and does not approach it, but remains standing and exhibiting extreme distress.
  • 09:50:53 - Video ends.

There's no way the guy was alive when this video ended, much less with only leg and arm bruises. He was thrown over an SUV and into the pavement head first. Even if the SUV had been parked and he had just slid off its roof that way, he could not have escaped a serious head injury. Sorry folks, but he died.
