This happened today, in New Zealand. No social distancing needed. No masks required.

NZ is a case that is difficult to extrapolate out to the rest of the world. It's an isolated country with a small population and one central government.

Correct me if I'm wrong but no official source was listed for the second outbreak? After 100 days with no cases for that to have appeared out of nowhere is concerning going forward as continuously locking down and reopening is not exactly the most sustainable strategy going forward.

The harsh lockdowns have worked in terms of controlling cases but the long term future for NZ's economy will be interesting with very limited industry and a rather high cost of living. Remains to be seen how business and the country as a whole will succeed in the future. NZ already has an enormous amount of its citizens living abroad to maximise opportunity and you could be forgiven for thinking this will only get worse in the future if cost of living vs opportunity continues to widen as a result of the covid response.
