Happily Married/committed women, who have seen a 10 year anniversary, how do you and your partner handle money? Single Account, or separate? Do you recommend it?

Been together for 10 years, married for about half of that. Had separate economy before we got engaged, after that we have joint. Still have an account each, but we send money back and forth. He maintains the savings in a joint account, sets our budget etc - I suck with money and asked him to do this. Mind, we have full transparency on everything (but for Christmas/Birthday gifts). We can each buy whatever we want/need up to a certain amount, and if it’s above that, we talk about it first, see if it fits in the budget. I think it works quite well like this. We also like buying in bulk or on sales. Like, clothes for the kids, I buy clothes for the sizes above their current size, so it’s easier to find cheaper prices than if I just buy what they need now. Usually buy the kid’s stuff for 30-70% less than original prices, which is nice, considering I prefer buying quality on everything but the basics (basics can be bought at h&m or so).
