Happiness and Night shift

I don’t have kids or many other responsibilities so I just try to plan absolutely nothing on my first day off after 3 night shifts. I don’t let myself sleep much because the way my schedule works I am back to day shift in 2 days; this way I can fall asleep at a normal hour and hopefully I’m flipped back to a “normal” schedule. The rotating sucks but I am getting used to it. I try to get as many errands and chores done on days off. The grocery stores by my house open at 7am so I will often actually grocery shop after night shift so I don’t need to leave the house again. Like some other Canadian mentioned, we’re not allowed to work straight nights or straight days at my hospital. (At least permanently). But ideally I think I’d like to do straight nights right now!
