It’s sad because I did. And the guy that previously descalated him had no idea why he was so mad either . I even asked him point blank did this man ask to speak to a supervisor , he said no . I said why was he so mad to begin with . He said I have no clue. Then I got with his previous rep, who also did not know. My manager and I both think the rep he talked to that originally “deescalated him” threw me and or the company under the bus . Because multiple emails state we left X out to dry. But when I ask X what happens he claims he has no idea . I literally to this day, and no one to this day know what the original problem even was . But we do know that this psycho man in email offered to take X out to a nice steak dinner (this is an old man and X is a 24 yr old.) it was very bizarre . None of it makes any sense. I don’t think he has a reason. That’s why even when my boss said if there are performance issues please let me and x know and he just said “nope “ like he’s crazy. Which is why it’s so scary to me. It’s a shit feeling because I don’t much trust my direct report either because his stories kept fumbling and one of his emails to the client the day before said “sorry for the dumpster fire today” and I just have the strongest of feelings he said something that made this man think we screwed X over to save his own ass, but didn’t realize how crazy the client was and the lengths he was gonna take it
