I find it hard to enjoy myself, I'm 22 and scared of global politics and climate change

There's a lot of interesting comments on this post but I don't find any of the answers compelling and I feel very much the same way. I know that the answers on here probably haven't filled the hole in your mental wellbeing.

It doesn't feel like anybody is moving fast enough to face the challenges we currently face and in Australia politics is dominated by highly corrupt neo-con religious officials being supported by an Oligarchy of mining companies and various media empires (Rupert Murdochs empire being one of them) and every day it's difficult to see your country destroyed by the Government whilst the media tells feel good stories to distract from the destruction and corruption without ever criticising the Government but at the same time decimating the opposition with fabricated anecdotal evidence.

It's a depressing reality to understand, but getting involved helps. Support independent journalism (look up who owns it and look for their conflicts of interest) and get into politics. If you're Australian watch friendlyjordies, it's much easier to digest.

You're not alone, and we will take it back.
