Why is it so hard to rent a property when you have a pet?

If you're in a position to actually do that then you're very lucky.

It's not about tell[ing] you how you can spend your money.

How can you say that with a straight face? That's literally what you're doing.

Young people are moving from the countryside to cities for jobs/education/opportunities, leisure activities, like-minded communities, cultural values etc etc, not because someone's bought a country house in the village. Tourism is a great source of income for seaside towns, and if you remove that it isn't like other opportunities are going to flood into these areas.

Saying that growing up in an apartment in a city means you have to leave or wait until your parents die is facile to the point of absurdity. I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about to be honest.
