Do you have a hard time finding like-minded people?

A good tool to have for NOT distancing yourself is finding common ground and keeping an open mind. That means looking at things from other peoples perspectives, which is a very important skill you build over time. I was probably 22 before I really started to develop that thoroughly. Before that, I was an A-hole. Most teenagers are. YOUR (OP) worldview is small, even if you might be ahead of your peers. It's important to stay moderately humble throughout your growth. The effects of lacking humility often include those who really are your betters shrugging off training you. It will be hard to find mentors, who ultimately are the ones that lift youth to their accomplishments.
