Harper accused of fostering 'intolerance'

Whoa there buddy, no need for name calling or personal attacks.

i have no tolerance for dunces. i asked him to tell me why i was wrong several times, each time he came back simply telling me i'm wrong again with no justification.

If you want to wear a pasta bowl on your head have at er, as long as it doesn't interfere with your job it shouldn't be an issue.

this was my first comment that the dunce ignored. i said all RCMP officers should be able to wear any hat, or they all wear the same required hat. same for the oath, i.e. anyone can cover their face, or nobody. before the muslims started bitching the rule was everyone has to show their face. now they are the only exception.

As for the face coverings while doing the oath, well if there is another way to properly verify the person then they should allow it. It's hurting no one. If they can't come up with something alternative then they should deny it.

we use photo ID in canada for all identification. the judge at the oath confirms that the correct person is taking the oath by checking their id to their face.

muslims immigrants want to come to canada, we don't need them at all. there's no shortage of other immigrants who quite frankly integrate far better than them (like north east asians or europeans). if they find our ways of doing things too offensive then they should stay in their shit hole countries.

Canada, the west in general, does so much to accommodate immigrants. enough is enough. at a certain point, and i think we're there, immigrants simply have to decide if they can live under our rules or not.

So I have an honest question, how does allowing someone wearing a face covering of any kind interfere with taking their oath?

one set of rules for everyone. that's it. no exceptions. canada uses photo ID, that's how we identify ourselves when necessary. the oath is just the start. next these muslim women wont get photo ID for health cards/licences/passports, which creates a massive opportunity for fraud and other illegal activities for these women (unless we change the whole system to accommodate them)

Now if you want to talk about other things that are extreme like raping women, killing adulterers, homosexuals, apostates and so on. Well that's a whole different issue.

not really, it was simply to illustrate to the dunce, that freedom of religion only means free to practice any religion within the confines of our laws, which apply to all equally.
