Harry's hair fetish?

Seriously? That was just one (poorly chosen, I admit) example. You're completely ignoring the actual definition.

This is from dictionary.com

an object regarded with awe as being the embodiment or habitation of a potent spirit or as having magical potency.

any object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or devotion. Ex. to make a fetish of high grades.

Psychology.any object or nongenital part of the body that causes a habitual erotic response or fixation.

From thesaurus.com

Main Entry: fetish Part of Speech: noun Definition: obsession Synonyms: bias, craze, desire, fixation, golden calf, idée fixe, leaning, luck, mania, partiality, penchant, periapt, predilection, prejudice, preoccupation, prepossession, proclivity, propensity, stimulant, thing

While fetishes are usually associated with sex, like you said, that still doesn't change the definition. Plenty of people have non-sexual fetishes, though I'm sure many more have sexual ones. And Words have multiple meanings and interpretations.
