A Harvard Scientist Thinks He Has A Gene Test For Heart Attack Risk. He Wants To Give It Away Free.

If post-doc, receive PhD in relevant fields. If lab tech, go to school for something like molecular biology and work in related labs. There are biology certs you can get than can go on a resume. I got my job by having a background in research animals, starting with bats and moving to mice/rats. Eventually led me to a great position with a great Lab/PI that was promoted and took me with her to start an institute at a University that I won't name. Enjoy what I do and love the people I work with. Though honestly, we are a very unique and tight knit lab. A lot of labs are depressing. Lots of anti-social people, interpersonal drama, or PI's who burn through post docs, grad students, techs and interns without a care.
