I hate being from my race. What do I do?

If you remove all your possessions and achievements, what's left? Are you a good listener, do you enjoy making others comfortable, do you take initiative to fix problems others don't even notice? If you subtract what you have and what you do, you're left with who you are. And that can be a great source of peace and self-confidence!

This is hard to figure out.

Tyrion from Game of Thrones said it well: "Never forget what you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like armour and it can never be used to hurt you." This was in added as a comment after someone tried to offend him by pointing out that he was a dwarf. If you are aware of all the superficial labels people could place on you, nothing can be used to offend you. Whatever they say is then either true, and you already knew it, or false, and you know it to be.

Thanks for your advice...but how is that helping? If it's true and hurts, how is that helping with anything?

For your final point, I don't really have any data. Myself, however, I don't really care what people have, or what they do. What I care about, is how I feel around them, if we're having a good time or whatnot. And this is determined by how who they are interact with who I am. Not easy to pinpoint or even steer, but intuitive (for most). And I think that goes both ways - that people are generally less preoccupied with what I have or what I do, but rather favor my company for how I make them feel.

But most won't give you the time for interaction because they would have a negative impression just by looking at you for 1 second.
