Hate communities can distort the way you see the opposite gender, and hinder your dating success

So, I don't frequent r/FemaleDatingStrategy because I disagree with their values when it comes to dating but it's funny how you're cherry-picking the meanest posts you could find on that subreddit. I looked at their most upvoted posts of all time and this is one of them with over 10k upvotes: /r/FemaleDatingStrategy/comments/klquiv/i_found_a_child_porn_sub_and_reported_to_the_fbi/

At the same time, on this very subreddit calling women "thots" and attributing it to John the Baptist gets you over 100 upvotes: /r/CatholicDating/comments/gd23ad/begone_thot_john_the_baptist_20_ad_probably/ By your logic counting posts that barely get 100 upvotes r/CatholicDating can be classed as a hate community, right? If you factor in that the subreddit you're criticising is ten times larger that puts this post on par with one that's got over 1000 upvotes on FDS

When I first joined here, I initially felt very positive but to be honest I increasingly feel let down. Where's the self-awareness? Why look elsewhere for flaws when there are problems in this very community.
