I hate with the Fire of a Thousand Suns the idea of a 2% World

By mystical I mean believing Kevin has died and come back to life a bunch of times, believing he's the Messiah, believing there's an alternate place where the 2% have gone and that he's been there. Much like the audience, the characters are ready to throw themselves in these explanations and accept them despite not having scientific merit. Then you have people who go the other way completely saying these are delusions, these people are just soothing themselves, Kevin didn't die and there's an explanation for it. It's the same things we already face today. People who really hold on to science and people who explain everything with religion. So what I meant was what's great about this show is watching how people react when something science can't ready explain happens. Just think about if it actually happened irl. The viewers also get to make a decision about whether all this sci-fi/mystical stuff is actually happening with Kevin and the others or whether they've kinda gone off the deep end as a result of being so desperate for answers.
