Haven’t always been a asexual? (This gonna look like homework)

I don't think your sexuality really changes but I do think it's also way more common with asexuality for people to realize it later than others in the same way that someone might not realize they're gay until way down the line and it might look like their sexuality changed. Also, losing your libido as you age happens which might be confusing

The way I came to realize my sexuality was because I claimed to be lesbian but then tried actually dating someone and realized people do kinda care about sex which was super off-putting to me. Some ace people are fine with it and some can straight enjoy it but I found myself needing to force myself every step of the way. So for a while I called myself homoro asexual until a few years down the line I realized I just wanted a close friend and didn't actually even want to date anyone, I just thought women tended to be prettier. So I went from lesbian to aroace
