I know this is a suggestion thread in r/suggestmeabook but instead of suggesting a book I would like to suggest to you that you go to a bookshop and just look at books. It was my favorite thing to do before I got certain authors and books in my list.

Just go to a bookshop and start looking from somewhere, nothing wrong with judging from the cover or from the bestseller section. My only other advice would be to don’t start from the “classics” they are too boring until after a while and even still then. Also you mentioned English is your second language so unless you specifically want that I think your native language would be better for your first book.
