Having a hard time staying on top of homework.

I can say this; I work full time at my local water treatment plant and am taking 19 credit hour semesters I have absolutely no time for literally anything else. I had to go from 7:30am-4:00 pm for school and 4pm-Midnight at work.

My biggest aid would be to make a very organized schedule. Have blocks dedicated to study and homework for 2-3hours for your difficult homework and 1-2 hours for course review. Talk to people, let them know if you need help. Professors are willing to help only if you ASK. In the end of the day the pain will be worth it and having days when you don’t work (Thurs and Friday for me) make the most of them. Take time to re-up on your life and make some time for personal things too.

You’ll learn to appreciate the little things like being able to make some dinner and sit down and watch a TV show. It makes the days not working or studying all the much better and helps you not slack off. On my breaks (which is rn) I like to make sure I have my things set up for the next day and I’ll do some Reddit browsing and email checking.

Take aways:

Be organized

Ask for help when you need it, don’t be afraid to

Know your limits, if you need to ask for extensions on HW do so. If you need less hours at work do so unless you can’t. Then try to work something out with your supervisor.

Be dedicated and committed 100%, this won’t last forever and better times are ahead!

Take care, and good luck this semester. I’ll be rooting for you!
