Having a PhD was a terrible decision

Yup. The most successful people I know dropped out or went to industry after undergrad.

I wish I’d read this sooner: http://katz.fastmail.us/scientist.html

I had a fanng swe offer and chose to do a PhD in physics instead. Now I can’t get interviews.

Hell, I put a first author in nature and couldn’t get an insight interview. All those weekends worked, vacations I didn’t take and broken relationships for nothing.

F it, I’m a great coder and my parents did ok without money. We’re still poor and I regret I cannot help my family. I’m just gonna build shit until I run out of money. Our local police department is always hiring so that’s the backup.
