Well as someone who was involved in a lot of different activities throughout high school/college and wasn't much of a loner...high school anime is designed around creating scenarios that sort of encapsulate and romanticize youth. So if it makes you long for those days, then it's doing its job.

In reality, school tended to be boring, tedious or monotonous. Most of the people who are constantly on the run around with their after school activities...they enjoy what they do while they're doing it, sure, but they'd rather be doing anything else. People aren't always doing things for the sake of passion. Most get involved just to have something to do.

The moments where you make all those precious school memories are few and far between. But I guess by being more active, it does present more opportunities to make those memories. Which can make for interesting stories. Which then get people interested in you and helps build new relationships with new people. The usual jazz.

I'm beginning to feel like a self-improvement book. >_<
