that's so incredibly sad given how special Hawaii is. When I went to Thailand I stayed on an island called Koh Chang, and because I was kind of turned around sleep wise, I was able to wake up super early and watch the sun come up on the beach. What I found was an insane amount of garbage that had floated in over night and the hotel's staff cleaning it up as quick as they could. Not only does the garbage float in from the main land, it comes from surrounding resorts that dump garbage into the ocean. This was one of the most BEAUTIFUL places I had ever seen, and I suddenly realized no matter where we went on the island, there was garbage everywhere.
