‘Hawkeye’ Viewership 40% Behind ‘Loki’ Premiere In Samba-Measured Disney+ Homes

To be serious, though, I'd say his biggest problem is action.

It's the same as it was with TFATWS: Best when it focused on character (e.g. therapy scenes between TF and TWS). Worst when it focused on unmotivated action-just-for-action and villains whose pseudo-politics weren't well specified enough to be interesting.

Hawkeye is best when it's focused on character (Renner's got a ton of dry charisma that never gets old to watch). But we had to wait an entire episode just to get any scenes between Hawkeye and Kate, and all the fun moments (like LARPing) are spread out in between boring scenes of beating up thugs and Kate's family.

So far the only action I've enjoyed was Kate being sneaky as a fake waitress, which was awesome. But then the guns come out and it's just... meh.
