a lady in a beige mercedes suv cut a car off getting on to I-5 north from the 105. then she took her foot off the gas ’til she eventually rolled to a stop right before the randy papé beltline in the far right exit lane.

upon hitting the beltline exit, she then picked up speed to about 25 mph and crawling up the exit ramp but she couldn’t decide if she needed to be in the far right exit-to-go-right-on-gateway-lane or the exit-to-go-right-on-beltline-lane so she kept hitting her brakes going from lane to lane.

finally she chose the right-on-beltline-lane, and braked to a full stop right before the fork, put on her right blinker, switched gears to reverse, put it back in drive, floored the gas and made the sharpest right i’ve ever seen.

at this point she slammed her brakes yet again and until her suv stopped parallel to the point of the exit fork. she waited for a car to try and get by her to get in the right-on-gateway-lane, pulled out in front of the car (cutting them off) then she used a sort of brake-and-go driving method all the way to gateway. it must’ve taken her a full minute to get through that 400 ft stretch.

last we saw, she was at a complete stop, looking towards a perceived threat of oncoming traffic to her left, completely missing the entire green arrow.

this happened a few weeks ago around 8:15 on my regular weekday morning commute.
