[Haynes] Kyrie Irving apologies on Instagram: “To all Jewish families and communities that are hurt and affected from my post, I am deeply sorry to have caused you pain, and I apologize.”

I do have a semblance of empathy for those that do go down propaganda rabbit holes and conspiracy theories. There's a reason proganda works and I don't think anyone is beyond unlearning and becoming against the propaganda they initially fell for.

With Kyrie I think this is a solid statement he does have ulterior motives to push against his intial views (being kicked out of the league for one) but I can't access what's going on in Kyries mind only the words he put out and I think this statement is a good starting point for him. He legitimately admitted fault here which I didn't think he'd do. And considering how Kyrie didn't at all walk back any vaccine stuff and sat out basically 75% of a season to prove his point leads me to believe this is a sincere statement. Any judgments on the how or why of it is up for public forum I guess and people hurt by may not accept this apology which is cool by them (I know I would be very hurt if a racist athlete for example apolgozied and probably would tell them to shove it) . However I think it's fair to acknowledge Kyrie did the right thing here tho.
