I agree with you that "top scorer at a young age" argument doesn't make much sense because they people are playing more games every year. It's a simple fact, there is nothing to agree or disagree and I never used that age argument, except to say that he can improve.

But, in your second paragraph you talked as if he is going to hold the record because he is playing more. But, as I showed you the scoring rates, he is going to hold that record or come very very close to it in the same number of games as Pele. Let's say in his next 32 games he scores 25 - 30 goals, he is just 5 goals away from Pele in the same number of games. So, the argument that "Neymar is only going to hold the record because he plays more games" equally doesn't make sense.

But, as I said, even with the same number of games, they are coming very very close and Neymar isn't even fully matured. So, if you said you scored 10 goals, and your friend scored 20, but in the same number of matches as you he scored 9 or 10, then I would say you both are pretty equal in goalscoring. Do you agree?

You also said that they play easier teams ( additional games at a lower level ), but the team Neymar has with him is absolute shit compared to the team Pele had with him, so that deflates the goalscoring figures just like the inflation due to playing easier teams.

I think he will have a slightly higher gpg than Pele if he stays healthy because he hasn't matured completely and can improve some aspects of his game. Also, as I said his gpg has improved ( 1.07 in last year, and 0.76 in last 2 ).

Finally I just have 1 question, if Neymar beats Pele's record by scoring 35 goals in the next 32 games, then will you agree that he has broken the record fair and square? Because they have literally played the same number of games.
