I have had romantic interest in exceptionally few girls in my life, so that isn’t true. A good number have expressed interest in me that I didn’t reciprocate. That’s a nice dramatic anecdote but it wholly mischaracterizes the situation entirely. The problem isn’t primarily one of repeated rejection, it’s an issue if logistics, and if my not being willing to be social enough to overcome these logistics problems. You can say it’s a fault in my character that I’m not “ willing to be social enough”, but being social has a psychological Cost, which my numbers suggest aren’t worth it in this case, given how the probabilities work out
