Yeah, so having coached soccer in some various fashion from Travel, to middle school to rec league while this is possible ill say this:
Cant be rec league. Fall league starts around Labor Day but we will say 3rd week of August. That would mean your kid is scoring 4 goals a game every saturday for the 12 weeks, plus 5, 5 goal games. While this is possible I would assume your destroying teams, and with the 'everyone plays rule' your kid would get sat after 3. So its NOT rec league.
Travel League: With tournaments and everything you COULD have played up to 30 games already. This is possible, however travel league is for the best rec league players. Unless your 'premiere or travel' league sucks, then it has serious competition. The team I coach has 4 strikers, they split time as we just moved to the larger field. I will call Absolute bullshit that this is 5v5 with small nets because with 12 kids on a team, he wouldn't get enough playing time. In 11 v 11 the time is just too short to score that many goals unless he is the ONLY striker on the team. Also parents of travel league all suck, because they paid a premium so even though its not a rule, everyone plays is kind of expected by the parents. We have 18 kids and they all play every game. So while possible its HIGHLY unlikely it is travel league because as I said, the competition is fierce and every town has that 'one kid' that is better. Not saying your kid isnt the best, but all the other really good kids will freeze him out becasue he sounds like a total cherry picking ball hog (for the record, on my team if you cherry pick, you come out, everybody plays offense and defense)
This brings Middle School Soccer. This is feasible, but with 20 minute halfs he is scoring a goal every 8 minutes, sometimes every 6 depending on how many games hes played. Bullshit
So I guess with Travel he could have. If your doing a tournament every weekend, I guess he could be playing in multiple leagues. But I have never had a kid score that many goals, or heard of a kid scoring that many goals in one league in one season. I agree with everyone here, unless hes in rec league, travel and middle school, this is Bullshit. And I still dont believe in MS or travel he is putting up 3 goals a game. This is more from personal experience, as a kid my team won the u12 state cup tournament in CT, the leading goal scorer in the tournment went on to play at Uconn, he averaged 1.26 goals a game. And had at the time a record for the season with 36, 9 more than the previous record.
