I have a healthy BMI, good physique, and I realize that I am conventionally attractive. Yes, I am grateful for these things, but because of this, people assume I am healthy, which is far from true.

Hello I can totally relate.. I have PAN a form of vasculitis and Crohns.I have also been in recovery for 8 years. I have been an athlete my whole life. Yes there are times I am flat on my back and fighting my diseases. As soon as I can I get back to my fitness lifestyle I do. As a result I am a 57 yo who I have been told I looks like I am 40. I look healthy and strong. People do not believe I battle theses diseases on a daily basis. I let them know my healthy lifestyle decisions have helped me tremendously. I have to say it is difficult when I am in a flare and I am not able to do the things I usually do. People who do not have a chronic illness will not understand.
