Oh I know, but as a guy who lives in Alabama, the vast majority of the population is sold on the idea that Capitalism = Freedom and Union = Communism. So this is a golden example of when there will be pundits and mouthpieces spinning a new narrative about how "ItS NOt TRue CapItaLISM."

Never has been. Regulatory capture has been a thing for decades. I say this at risk of being banned, but I sit on a board which provides advice for the very industry which my company is a part of. I got on that board through a donation my employer made to the non-profit who elects candidates because it's a private organization and according to their charter, the other board members "voted" to elect me.

Now when someone needs to know something about my area of expertise, they call me and I provide advice in the industry where I work. Hell, I can even recommend a product or service I sell. While I can't recommend my company, I can know that someone is looking for a specific service before competitors can.
