I’m not really a fan either. I think you nailed it with your point about less and less value content being released lately. The developers and the company as a whole are fantastic and I a huge fan of the company because I think that they do a great deal right.

I’ve even bought the DLC, despite not being that hyped or interested. I'm really interested in the history of the British Empire so you would think that this should appeal more to me than it does. The focus now for PDX and HOI4 should be primarily geared towards releasing expansion packs which add much more value than DLCs do.

I’m not strictly saying that this is bad content either. This release should have been part of the first expansion pack if you ask me. Hell, I don’t even mind waiting longer or paying a little bit more for it. They need to set their sights higher than they currently seem to be because I know Paradox can do better with post release content.

I have probably at least 2000-2500 hours between HOI IV and HOI 3 new content should be making me want to play much more than I currently do. I should be racing to my computer with excitement upon news of new content. I don’t think this will do that for a lot of folks if it can’t do it for me an in and out fan of the series.

I know that they are hearing and seeing a lot of negative feedback, I am certainly contributing, but I hope that it doesn’t deter them from interacting with the community because it is one of the more admirable and respectable aspects of the company and developers.

I know that they are resilient cats though, especially our Podcat whom I see fighting his way through the trenches on the forums day in and day out. It's very cool to see and it earns my respect at least. It would have an effect on me seeing negative posts day in and day out, especially when you work very hard on something.
