Is this heater safe?

if it does not have a type safety certification you shouldn't use it.

1) if it does cause a fire/smoke damage your insurance will laugh and say good luck.

2) they clearly cut corners if they couldn't get the certification, they arent overly difficult to pass for a trained engineer designing a product like this. its not like they are new or novel technology.

3) in canada at least, selling an electrical device that plugs into the wall, without one of these certifications is against the law, but that never stopped amazon or ebay.

you can tell, as you'll have the UL, CSA, intertek, TUV symbols, and you can look the product up in the appropriate database online. CE = China export and doesnt help you.
