The Heaven's Gate galaxy has 8 spiral wings which are also divided into 8 regions and are named: Ariam Wing, Butos Wing, Cellia Wing, Ephalis Wing, Mosasan Wing, Temila Wing, Rigista Wing, and Restenga Wing. These spiral wings can stretch to 400.000 light-years and are home to trillions of stars, planets, and nebula.
Heaven's Gate galaxy is classified as an "organic galaxy" by its inhabitants. It was classified that way because 98% of its solar system was connected by numerous invisible neuron-like links. These links can be activated in various ways which give its activator a safe and stable FTL travel. Thank to these links, civilizations in Heaven's Gate galaxy can achieve FTL easier than other galaxies. However, spiral wings aren't connected by these links, so spacefaring civilizations have to overcome this by building intergalactic gateways at the edge of each spiral wing.
