Hello, I am Chris Badawi. My thoughts and perspective on my ban by Riot.

It's also curious he provided screenshots of his other two dealings (Keith+Riot) and didn't provide any of his dealings with Quas. Specifically, a screenshot that could have at least cast some doubt on the accusation in his ruling he told Quas Misfits would pay more than TL. People saw some screenshots elsewhere in the post, and then took the entire Quas section, the most important part because it's the most recent, at face value.

Furthermore, even if dubious behavior isn't explicitly evidenced in the writing, just the fact that he was in contact with these players is the first step to building a sympathetic bridge. In marketing, it's always the recognition and positive memory of an interaction that will sew the first roots of trust. Renegade management is too smart to not realize this. Badawi's been getting his foot in the door with players (remember Misfits previously had ADC+Top lane troubles). I can very well see why it may be considered tampering.

This includes giving advice; arbitrary altruism in the business world is and should be suspicious. It's like a university stepping in to advise a star senior quarterback on his future collegiate options "just to help him out." In this case RNG just so happened to reach out and "coincidentally" select the best homegrown NA top laner to advise. It's exceedingly dubious. Something like this is a subtle way to influence a player without leaving a trail of breadcrumbs behind to obviously indicate tampering.

Riot didn't stand to gain much by announcing a punishment out of the blue shooting Badawi and his challenger team to the ground; Renegade however has had A LOT to gain by winning the community back. The whole thing smells fishy to me, and having brought it in front of the community has risked rendering the matter unable to be resolved objectively and professionally at this point if Riot were to step back in.
