Hello Reddit user please can you take the time to detail various good deeds you've done for people which remain unknown by anyone other than you?

I used to work in a place, where the bosses were nonprofessional and sexist. There was low pay and us the staff had to listen to alot of abuse from customers and the bosses had high expectations for the female staff about keeping the place clean, while the male staff pretty much were never expected to keep basic hygiene standards. I used to find alot of rotten fruit.

They made sexist comments and dismissed anyone who found it inappropriate to be hysterical.

I kept asking them casual questions about all this, by playing stupid but making them think about how high risk they were if they had to pay fines and made them realize how small authoritary and ownership they had.

".. How was it again, the serving laws about opening hours? " ".. awh. The security guys at x club are soooo BAD. The staff over there doesn't feel safe. I hope, that this will never happen here. People might talk!" ".. Why is it that A says this? She doesn't feel safe. " (They got mad when they found out my co-workers ask me how to or came to me to rant, and not them)

I also praised them alot regularly and kept them updated about good things I had heard about them, making them proud of themselves and wanting to be better.

Shit like that.

They now stopped clapping the girls and touching them. The now, take responsibility and check up on their staff. Things are good now and staff is happier. Because, well. It was their idea to fix all this, right?
