Hellworld doesn’t usually get to me while I’m taking my anti-depressant, but this shit did.

When I was 18 I got a chronic illness, and as I got closer to getting kicked off my parents insurance (and TBH I couldn't afford my medication WITH insurance except for the fact my doctor gave me a discount coupon, probably because I was young and had a shitty job but idk) desperately looked into trying to find a way to get a job in Canada or some not totally insane country that provides healthcare, or join the military, something that would make me able to actually afford to live. To top off my desperation, stress is what tends to cause my symptoms to flare up. Of course, you can't join the military if you have a chronic illness (though I'm thankful to have been denied that opportunity these days), but it's totally fucking insane that anyone is okay with our system. There is just nothing some people can do, I was lucky enough to have middle class parents with insurance and who could help me out a bit, too, and a lot of people don't.
