Help building a rendering computer

I was just doing some research today since Black Friday / Cyber Monday is coming up, so hopefully this helps!

CPU wise, definitely get something in the 8th gen of Intel CPU's ($400+). If you want to go big, the Intel iX CPU's can go up to 16 cores ($1000+). More cores help processing time; think greatly reducing the time it would take Handbrake to make a 4k video 1080p.

As far as GPU's go, depending upon the renderer you use in your program of choice, the GPU is where most of the grunt work happens. The GTX 1080 TI is a go to GPU and is known to have great performance (~$700).

Ultimately the performance of the PC will suffer if the parts aren't compatible, so make sure you double check the compatibility of all the parts you're planning on purchasing.

Happy Holidays and have fun with your build!
