Help coming back to casual

My friends and I also got into CEDH, but a lot of our other friends are strictly casual, so we found it best to just have multiple different decks. For casual games I'd basically say you should avoid tutors (*especially* the black unconditional tutors like Demonic, Vampiric, etc), avoid the big fast mana spells like Mana Crypt and Sol Ring, and more than that, try to place a parameter on your deck. Come up with a theme and make the deck adhere to that. Whether it's a tribe like Goblins or a theme like Bant Exalted, make sure every card in your deck relates to your deck's core idea. Eliminating "goodstuff" cards will not only make your casual decks feel more fun by making things less homogenous, but it'll be cheaper to build them since the cards you'll be using won't be ubiquitous, in-demand staples. It's all about theme in casual EDH.
