Get help guys, and don’t sleep with a Glock on your nightstand, especially if your going through bad ptsd. Own up to it and get help. Learn from me.

No. Desensitizing is EXACTLY what they told me they were trying to do. It was explained like this... "Its like we are going to watch a scary movie a bunch of times, so the first time its really scary at the bad parts, the second time you kinda jump at those same scary parts in the movie, and after a few times you stop being reacting to the parts of the movie that are scary so it desensitizes you to". These are the literal words from the VA counselor mouth. Well, my life isnt a fucking movie. Idk if your wife or your wife have dealt with issues from combat but I dont really care what you think. I am the one who has to deal with my shit, and so does this guy in the video and the VA is a shit show. If you havent been to the VA, I urge you to take a trip there and talk to all the vets about the type of care they get. Look around and see the quality of the state they are in, mentally and physically. This isnt a professional developmental center. Its a small chunk of government funded shit program, that has federal employees who are just looking for a paycheck. Their job sucks and they are extremely under funded and most dont care about much but the end of the day and payday. There are exceptions. For the most part, you have people like myself and this guy who go to "get help" and when you leave they stop caring and give you a 1-800# to call if your suicidal, that they dont pick up or transfer you around till they hang up. So, ANYTHING outside of the VA is a better option. Id tell you to ask my friend who walked out of their inpatient care and into his casket but...you wouldnt get an answet.
