My 5 month old neutered male domestic short-haired kitten (~6-7lbs) has recently had some tummy issues. This past Friday, February 6th he threw up a clear white foam in the morning and then a second time, noting after, it was a yellowish fluid, likely bile. He didn't eat anything on Friday, least I don't think he did (my boyfriend and I were at work all day) because there was still food in his dish. The night before, Thursday, he didn't really eat much of his food which was odd because he's a total chowhound. Again Friday night he threw up some clear white foam and still didn't eat any food.

Come Saturday, the white foam puke made another appearance and then about 1 hour later he puked up a hairball. I thought that him passing that would make him want to eat, but no. I tried giving him some pumpkin in the afternoon around 2pm but he didn't want any of it. I force-fed some of it to him and of course he didn't like that. I think it triggered something in his stomach because the next thing I knew he was throwing up, just a little clear foam. I read up on the Internet that giving cats 1/4 of 10mg pepcid ac is supposed to alleviate any blockage or at least help tummy troubles. So I got some of that at the store, along with chicken baby food and chunk canned chicken. I gave him the pepcid ac, spooned some of the baby food onto a plate and he started chowing down. I thought we were in the clear, but later after coming home from a dinner he didn't care for any of the baby food or any food. I noticed throughout this whole event that he will walk near his food like he wants to eat it but just meows.

It's Sunday now, and I just gave him 1/4 pepcid ac followed up with a bit of the chunk canned chicken. He ate some of it, but not enough for me to feel assured. He is drinking water, not as much as he use does though.

Could there still be a blockage in my kitten's tummy? I really don't want to take him to the vet. He has other tummy troubles in regards to grains, so I'm in the process of switching him and his brother over the Natural Balance Limited Ingredient green pea and chicken. I've asked the vet for advice but after fecal tests and x-rays, nothing has helped. I'd really like to avoid a $300 or more visit just for them to leave me clueless.
